Positive Feedback for THE DOSIMETRY SCHOOL in Maastricht

Small Field Dosimetry and IMRT/IMAT teaching course successfully held at Maastro Clinic

The Small Field Dosimetry and IMRT/IMAT teaching course at Maastro Clinic in Maastricht was the second continuing education event for an international audience organized by THE DOSIMETRY SCHOOL.
With more than 30 participants from all over the Netherlands and Belgium, the two-day course was fully booked. Education Credit points could be received from "Nederlandse Vereniging voor Klinische Fysica" and "Belgian Hospital Physicists Assosiation".
Aimed at Medical physicists who use PTW equipment, the focus was especially on small field dosimetry considering international recommendations in combination with PTW detector arrays and measurement procedures.
"The participants feedback was very positive", reports Tino Ebneth from PTW, head of THE DOSIMETRY SCHOOL, "we hope to offer more high-quality courses in the Netherlands in the future. We are especially pleased to have been able to engage renowned speakers such as Dr. Hugo Palmans, who is chairing an international IAEA/AAPM working group developing a code of practice for small field dosimetry."
