THE DOSIMETRY SCHOOL: Relative Dosimetry course in Milan, Italy completed

In December 2015, the PTW Dosimetry School has successfully completed its first relative dosimetry course in the beautiful conference center of the Ospedale Humanitas in Rozzano, Milan, Italy.

The two-day course covered just about everything a medical physicist could possibly want to know on relative dosimetry. After elaborate lectures, the course contents were intensified in practical measurement sessions at the linac of the Humanitas hospital.

Participants from Austria, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain appreciated in particular the notes for the use of different detectors for the same measurement procedure and how to avoid possible sources of error in practice.

THE DOSIMETRY SCHOOL is an education initiative offered by PTW to enhance the understanding and practice of clinical dosimetry through a series of seminars, workshops and trainings.
True to its motto "Sharing knowledge, inspiring practice", it provides an ideal platform where medical radiation experts are invited to share knowledge and experience, discuss topics of interest and engage in professional networking.
