The lead absorber T33003.1.140 accommodates ⁹⁹mTc samples to check a possible molybdenum breakthrough of ⁹⁹mTc generators. It absorbs the low-energy ⁹⁹mTc radiation totally, but not the high-energy ⁹⁹Mo radiation. Plastic liners are used to insert measuring samples such as vials and syringes into the well chamber.
