Radioactive tracer, which are orally or intravenously distributed for diagnostic aims, are partially contaminated through urine, feces and - in small quantities - through perspiration. For this reason, wastes coming from lavatories used by patients of nuclear medicinemust be conveyed to suitable draining plants.
LRD enables collection of radioactive liquid and organic wastes coming from the wards, biological degradation of sewage before the collection in the decay tanks, storage in tanks until the needed decay time and of course checking and recording waste data.
