PTW UNIDOS atto
New, highly sensitive electrometer for calibration laboratories, research and development
Based on decades of experience by PTW-Freiburg in developing and constructing high-quality electronic measurement equipment, the company has developed an extraordinary electrometer for extremely precise measurement of the smallest currents at the request of PTB Braunschweig.
The new UNIDOS atto has an extremely low current resolution of 10 atto-amperes (10-17 A). Its extreme preciseness makes it possible to use the electrometer for applications, which require optimum stability and precision in addition to measuring the smallest currents.
UNIDOS atto has a BNT-triax connection jack for using various detectors. Operation is via easy-to-operate pushbuttons. The large LCD display field makes it possible to read measurement values even at a greater distance.
The resolution for current is 0.01 fA and 10 fC for charge. The measurement range end is 1 µA for current and 65 mC for charge. Noise is less than 0.2 fA, and accuracy is better than 0.5% for currents > 200 fA and 5% for currents > 20 fA. Long-term stability is better than 0.1% per year.
The measurement equipment can be connected to a PC via a built-in RS232 interface.
UNIDOS atto is used in calibration laboratories as well as in research and development whenever very small currents must be measured with optimum precision.
UNIDOS atto is not a medical product. A resolution higher than 1 fA does not improve measurement results in medical dosimetry. PTW-Freiburg provides suitable dosimeters according to IEC 60601 for all applications in medical physics. These dosimeters are available as dosimeters in the utilization class or the reference class depending on requirements.
