The QC6Plus system is a highly reliable test device for fast and easy routine quality control of linear accelerators. As an important part of the quality management system in radiation therapy, it checks the constancy of the most relevant quality parameters to continuously ensure correct patient treatment. Six plane parallel ionization chambers of 0.54 cm³ measuring volume each are embedded in an acrylic phantom, four chambers on the x- and y-axes and two chambers in the center at different depths. An optional holding device for the accessory tray makes it possible to check the LINAC parameters at arbitrary gantry angles. The QC6Plus system is computer controlled by the Windows-based software program QCWin for automatic data acquisition, processing and display, which is included in the QC6Plus basic system. Owners of the multi-purpose dosemeter MULTIDOS can use the MULTIDOS instead of the QC6Plus display unit.
