TAM DEC
- Potentially contaminated liquids collection
- Storage up to completion of decay
- Liquids discharge into public sewer after the system has measured the activity concentration as required by applicable regulations
- Controlled by a TAM power unit that controls the measure reading, thresholds setting, and waste authorization
TAM DEC systems are small plants to drain contaminated liquids with short-life radioisotopes (F-18, C-11...), needed in those facilities where dedicated waste disposal plants do not exist for conventional nuclear medicine or metabolic therapy wards.
2 different versions are available:
- With Ihmoff biological tanks (solid sewages separation) for PET Diagnostic wards: to connect to hot WC, showers and decontamination basins
- Without biological tanks for PET radiopharmaceuticals production centers: to connect to showers and decontamination basins.
