It is a stand-alone measuring point, which has its own control unit that is able to measure environment radioactivity level, detect the overcoming of settable threshold and print alarm issues on paper. It can be connected to a TAM networking system, but it is usually installed as a stand-alone measuring point for monitoring the activity in a room. From its front panel you can set threshold, measuring unit, etc., and you can see the real time activity measurement and status directly from its display/interface.
